FA002_S Feature Type A region controlled by a political community having an organized government and possessing internal and external sovereignty, most often as a State but sometimes having a dependent relationship on another political authority or a special sovereignty status. The degree of sovereignty may be limited in specific areas (for example: matters of economic, administrative, legislative, judicial, military and/or foreign policy). The region controlled by a sovereign geopolitical entity is commonly referred to as a 'country'.
